Neurosomatic Therapy for Pediatric Patients

Posture and Your Child's Development

When postural distortion patterns are left uncorrected, they can lead to a range of physical and neurodevelopmental health issues in children. In addition to causing pain, discomfort, and decreased range of motion, over time these imbalances may result in structural abnormalities, such as scoliosis and joint degeneration. Untreated postural distortions can also have a negative impact on brain function, formation of neural connections, and motor skills development. Through detailed measurement of structural imbalances in the body, NST allows us to create a comprehensive therapy program that can be customized to any patient, no matter their age. Our pediatric patients include infants at just a few weeks old, children, adolescents, and teens.

Balancing Bodies... in Smaller Packages

What does a Neurosomatic Therapy appointment actually look like when a patient is a child? Children may not want to stay still for extended periods of time, and that is okay. Our therapists work with your child, their tolerance and attention span, and cater their appointment to the unique needs of each child.

"He must instinctually know that his treatment is to help him feel better because the second we walk into the room, he climbs up on the table and lays down on his own." This is a common sentiment we hear from parents who bring in their little ones for treatment. Often, when our pediatric patients are a little older, they themselves will ask their parents to make an appointment when they feel something in their body.
