Lower limb length inequality means that one leg is measurably shorter than the other. A structural difference involves the lengths of the bones, while a functional difference can result from positioning or movement of the pelvis, hips, knees, or feet. How It May Affect Movement
When a meaningful difference is present, the body may adapt through changes in pelvic position, spinal alignment, gait, or weight distribution.
